Hi!
We are Gonçalo and Sofia and our goal is to show you Madeira Island in its most genuine form, guiding you through it’s mystical mountains, streams, waterfalls and many other hidden gems that only a native eye can help you explore.
Our dream is to share our love and expertise for the mountains, to create memories where nature and tranquility can be truly experienced.

Gonçalo originates from Santana , north coast of Madeira island , and has many years of experience as a Mountain/Canyoning Tour guide. Gonçalo’s academic and professional path strives on Education and Environmental Preservation, as well as Nature and Adventure Tourism. He studied at Escola Nacional de Montanhismo where he got his Initiation degree on Climbing. ICA was where he was introduced to canyoning and finally, by the time he was living in the French Alpes, Chamónix, he accomplished his education and experience as a Mountain Leader Guide.
Sofia was born in Funchal and went to Lisbon to study hospitality management in the International University. Somehow they met 2 years ago in the mountains of Madeira island. Between cliffs and ropes, we’ve decided to build something together.
And that’s how Endemic Xperiences was born.
